KOLB Standard Folding boxes Die-cut packaging Boxes with innovative closures Corrugated sheets Packaging for hazardous goods CORCOOL - Temperature-controlled packaging Other packaging CORCOOL - Temperature-controlled packaging Protect delicious confectionary, fresh cold meats, hearty cheese specialties, etc. against heat and sunlight. The CORCOOL packaging is also an ideal solution for temperature-sensitive chemicals. The CORCOOL temperature-controlled packaging solutions have been specifically designed with these applications in mind. As corrugated cardboard consists mainly of paper and air, it has good thermal insulation properties. To keep products cool, the packaging must however be equipped with a cooling pad. Minus 78.52 °C might be just a bit low, but is nevertheless a relevant figure in this context, as CORCOOL solutions work with dry ice pads that are typically at this low temperature. By placing several pieces of dry ice in the upper section of the packaging, a cool air flow is generated that circulates through the entire packaging. The goods are thus kept a a low temperature and can be stored and transported for periods of more than 24 hours at hot temperature without suffering in any way. CORCOOL thus meets the requirement of a permanently cool temperature inside the box - and in many cases provides an alternative to costly transportation along a cooled supply chain in refrigerated lorries, etc.
